Product info

Ethernet inclination is a multi-functional tilt device developed by Vigor. It integrates a TCP/IP protocol stack, allowing users to apply network functions to their field conditions easily without deep knowledge of networking or TCP/IP protocols.
The device includes a 10/100M self-adaptive Ethernet interface and supports serial baud rates up to 230.4 kbps. It provides modes including TCP Server, TCP Client, UDP, and Real COM driver.

With option SST003-05-14, multiple Ethernet inclinometers can easily form a local network; option SST003-05-15 can extend the local network to a WAN for remote data query and measurement function settings.

Measuring capabilities

  • ±0.02%FS linearity
  • ±0.005° Offset
  • ±0.008° offset turn-on repeatability for temporary high-accuracy measurements
  • Optional gyro module for static/dynamic angle measuring (low/rapid leveling)
  • Optional vibration module for in-time FFT; outputs vibration frequency and amplitude directly, mitigating environmental vibration
  • Optional GPS module for data synchronization, acquisition, and local positioning at different installation sites
  • Performance confirmed for offset, repeatability, hysteresis, turn-on repeatability
  • Advanced algorithms reduce cross-axis sensitivity and improve true tilt accuracy
  • Greatly reduced errors when real tilt direction differs from the sensitive axis
  • Protections: short-circuit, transient voltage, and transposition
  • User-configurable: zero point, baud rate, local g, zero calibration, vibration filter coefficients, ID, refresh rate, etc.

Working Mode

Ethernet working modes overview

TCP Server: waits for TCP Client connections; once connected, bidirectional data transmission is available.
TCP Client: actively connects to a destination TCP server and retries per settings until connected; once connected, bidirectional data transmission is available.
Real COM: operates as TCP Server; a background service on the host establishes a connection and creates a virtual serial port for seamless PC–device serial communication over Ethernet.
UDP: connectionless transmission with lower overhead and higher real-time rate than TCP; for high reliability, add an upper-layer protocol. In UDP mode, devices are peer-to-peer (no server/client).

Works with an Ethernet PBX to build multi-node networks. A remote host can query each inclinometer via a router connected to Wi-Fi/ZigBee/Ethernet/GPRS or other networks (3G, GPRS).

PoE (802.3af): power interface PSE/PD over cable; Alternative A (1,2,3,6 signal pairs) and Alternative B (4,5,7,8 spare pairs).
