Gyro-inclinometer not only provides roll and pitch attitude angles in static conditions, but also outputs relative roll, pitch, and heading increment angles or angular rates during high dynamic tests.

General inclinometers based on accelerometer or electrolyte principles are often affected by additional axial and centripetal accelerations from rapid movements, reducing measurement accuracy.
However, gyroscopes have strong dynamic characteristics, are unaffected by acceleration, and output angular rate and relative angular increments under motion.
In low-frequency quasi-static conditions, the inclinometer provides accurate measurements while the gyroscope’s drift is negligible.

By combining the good quasi-static characteristics of inclinometers with the dynamic capabilities of gyroscopes, the gyro-inclinometer perfectly integrates both technologies to adapt to dynamic and quasi-static angle measurements.

Available configurations include:

  • Single inclinometer + Z-axis gyroscope (analog/digital output)
  • Dual inclinometer + Z-axis gyroscope (analog/digital output)
  • Dual inclinometer + Y-axis gyroscope (analog/digital output)
  • Dual inclinometer + X/Y-axis gyroscope (analog/digital output)
