TPU Cables are bending stress resistant miniature polyurethane cables. Excellent for robotic, crash-tests,
audio/video helmets, medical probes or sensors, accelerometers and more.
The pliability of a cable is directly related to the hardness of the materials used, but duration of life of a cable is connected
to the strength of its components: the construction of a dynamic cable is a balance between strength, ductility and elasticity
of employed materials.
Polyurethane cables are most appropriate to be used in dynamic applications. Tensile strength of PU is 45 MPa, elongation is 600%.
To compare, if elongation of silicon rubber is nearly the same as PU, tensile strength of silicon rubber is about 10 MPa.
